Every time I come to Puerto Rico I come back so excited to visit my favorite boutiques and thrift shops. One of my favorite ones is Lentejuela (located in la Calle Loíza) because of it's amazing and perfectly even assortment of new/trendy pieces and vintage pieces. But if you know me well, then you know that I spend most of my time in the vintage section. There's something about vintage clothes that catch my attention; perhaps the intricate details, maybe the stories behind every piece that ignites a spark of interest.
To me, wearing a vintage piece is like wearing a piece of history, a character who played some role in life and that just seems to fascinating. However, overtime, these pieces loose their interest and become artifacts on a hanger. This usually happens because modern girls are either afraid or don't know how to style these interesting pieces. That's why I decided this Holiday to create a Vintage Look Book that is fun, feminine and festive!
I love the feminine silhouette and the embroidery of this dress. Also, it was completely sheer so I wore it with a high-waisted brief from Yummie.
These beautiful earrings, believe it or not, are from the 1950's and they were the perfect jewelry statement for this feminine dress.
This cool piece is actually from one of my other vintage stores, ViceVersa, also located in Calle Loíza. I paired it with black kitten heels I also found at the store and the same earrings I got at Zara.
Last but not least, the classic and timeless little black dress. The asymmetrical dress paired with gold layering chains and gold strappy sandals felt super contemporary and feminine.
