The best part of NYFW is wearing outfits you'd probably wouldn't wear on a regular basis. On the first Tuesday of Fashion Week, I wore this crazy paisley vintage blazer with shoulder pads and novelty buttons and trim. I wore this jacket once for a Michael Jackson party and never did I imagine I would be wearing it again, except it was the perfect for the occasion.

I paired it with my Rebecca Minkoff "I Am Many" Tee I got at the launch party to support the cause and wore it with a tight black leather skirt (similar here) and thigh high velvet boots at Aldo last season.

Speaking of the Rebecca Minkoff event, I can't finish off this post before talking about what I wore to the event. In all honesty, I had a bit of a hectic day while running some errands prior to the event. I've been in a t-shirt and denim skirt all day. But I made the outfit look more elevated by adding a blazer, originally stolen from my mom's closet as usual (similar here and here), my crocodile olive green mules from Urban Outfitters (a few similar options here, here, here) and gold accents like this chain belt I bought at Delux Chokers and a pair of statement earrings from Zara. Of course, the look wouldn't be complete without my dangling spectacles to tie in the 70's vibe.
